Admission and visa requirements

Eligibility Criteria

International students need to check a few boxes to be able to study in Designated Learning Institutions in the country. You will receive a study permit (also known as the Student Visa) if you satisfy the criteria after which you will be able to study without hassle. Having said that, you should note that there are a few things you should remember even after receiving the permit and while studying in Canada. They are:

  • Following all the conditions of the study permit
  • Making progress in your academics
  • Stay enrolled in a Designated Learning Institution

Visa Requirements

You need to show your English language proficiency in order to be eligible to study in Canada. Almost every institution here requires you to take either TOEFL or IELTS with an average score of 80-100 and 6.0-7.0 bands respectively. If you are applying for an MBA, you must take the GMAT test and attain a good score. The minimum requirement for this varies from university to university. The intake happens thrice a year in January, May, and September.
